Tony Wilkins, PGA - Director of Instruction

Tony grew up in Sumner, WA and played collegiate golf at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.  He is an active member of the WWC PGA and enjoys competing in local professional events.  He has over 30 years of teaching experience and held instructional roles at Rainier G&CC, Sahalee CC, and Lake Spanaway GC.  Tony has personal coaching and teaching experience with renowned instructors Jim Flick, Mike Malaska, Brian Mogg, and most recently Mike Bender.  He has used this experience and knowledge to effectively tailor instruction plans for his students.

Tony excels in coaching and teaching players of all levels through strong interpersonal and motivational skills.  He utilizes state-of-the-art teaching and learning theories, while integrating video software and teaching aids to get faster results.  By incorporating course management, mental skills, and golf fitness into instruction his student’s build a complete golf game.

Tony has a sincere passion for the game that is contagious to those around him.  His success has come from the ability to match the level of instruction to the player’s physical ability and goals.  He is devoted to helping people improve and building relationships through the game of golf.

Gordy Graybeal - PGA Professional 

Gordy has been playing golf, on and off, at Jefferson Park for over 50 years.  A PGA member for 32 years he has given thousands of lessons to all ages and abilities of players.  Gordy is an expert at helping you understand the strengths and weaknesses of your swing and is adept at helping you assess and develop your skills in all facets of the game.  When taking a series of lessons with Gordy you can expect a full evaluation of your game and a well thought out “improvement plan” including video analysis of your swing, drills you can utilize on and off the course, coaching for playing strategies and maximizing the effectiveness of your practice time.

Nathaniel Colo - PGA Associate - Teaching Professional & Club Fitter

A Western Washington native, Professional Golf Management Graduate, and PGA Associate, Nathaniel has been dedicated to providing a safe and empowering environment for all ages, genders, orientations, and abilities to explore, discover, practice and play golf with freedom for over twelve years. Nathaniel utilizes current technology such as Toptracer, Trackman, and Sportsbox Ai to efficiently get to the root of a golfer's issues and address them with proper feedback.

Nathaniel believes that the golf swing is an athletic motion that all body types are capable of making once you understand the 'why' and 'how'. And when that's learned, it's easier to control the club, and thus the ball, and that's how you 'own' your golf game, however you want to play it.

Gilbert Quitlong - Teaching Professional & Club Fitter

Gilbert picked up his first golf club at a very young age and has since built a passion not only for the game but also teaching the game to others. In high school, Gilbert had his first taste of helping others with their golf swings serving as a student assistant golf coach for the girl's high school golf team.

Gilbert's passion and devotion toward golf went into full swing in 2002 when he entered the golf industry at Southcenter Golf where he gained valuable knowledge of the golf swing from several PGA Professionals and started the process of becoming a PGA Professional. Gilbert has not lost sight of his passion of teaching. Gilbert founded AWM Golf Foundation, a nonprofit golf foundation that focuses on teaching adult women and minorities the game of golf.

Golf has been an integral part of his life gaining experience in both competitive golf and teaching golf over the years, Gilbert has fostered the understanding and passion in helping others reach their golfing potential.

Since 2013, Gilbert has been a brand ambassador for Mizuno. Utilizing Mizuno golf clubs in his bag and specializing in Mizuno club fittings.

Since 2017, Gilbert has been the exclusive golf pro for one of the nation’s premier city athletic clubs, Washington Athletic Club.

Since 2021, Gilbert has been the Head Golf Coach at Seattle Prep. Coaching both the Boys and Girls Golf Team.

Edward Lyon - Teaching Professional & Club Fitter

Following his retirement from the U.S. Navy in 2016, Coach Ed decided to take a hiatus to unwind and relax. While he was decompressing, he discovered golf as a way to enjoy a good walk as well as take pleasure in a game with family and friends. It was during his decompression period that he decided to voyage further into the wonderful world of golf and pursue a career as a golf professional.

Coach Ed began his journey to acquire a more profound comprehension of the golf industry by completing a Professional Golf Management degree from Keiser University's College of Golf. He has taken biomechanics classes with Dr. Kwon. He has received certifications from Bobby Clampett’s Impact Zone Golf, and completed an advanced golf club fitting certification through PING Proving Grounds. Additionally, he’s actively working towards becoming a PGA of America Member.

Kyuss Lis - PGA Associate - Assistant Golf Professional - Teaching Professional & Club Fitter

Kyuss grew up in Buffalo, NY and developed a love of golf through challenging weather and diverse courses in the area. His passion for the game ignited after moving to Arizona and beginning his golf career at Kokopelli GC.  He then moved to Colorado Springs, CO and gained club repair and club fitting experience at Sand Creek GC.  Kyuss entered the PGA Associate Program after accepting a position at Warm Springs GC in Boise, ID.  His teaching experience increased and his dedication to helping others improve was solidified.

Kyuss is a member of the WWC PGA and enjoys competing in local tournaments and pro-ams.  He brings extensive experience to the Jefferson Park GC and community.  As a club fitter, he understands the critical role proper equipment plays in a golfer’s performance.  His approach is to tailor lessons to the individual’s needs, address challenges, build on strengths, and foster a love for the game.
