FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Why does the driving range turf need replacement?
A:  The driving range turf was originally scheduled to be replaced in 2006-07.  The present condition of the turf causes excess damage to equipment, range balls, and does not react the way it is supposed to when balls land on them.  The new range turf will allow for better drainage, better landing conditions, and will increase the life of both range equipment and range balls.

Q:  How long will the turf replacement project take?
A: The project will take approximately 6 weeks beginning February 15.  The anticipated re-open date will be April 1, 2010.  The re-open date may occur sooner and you will be informed if that is the case.

Q: Will the golf course be open while the driving range is closed?
A:  Yes! The Golf Course, Miniature Golf, Café, Pro Shop, and Lesson Department will remain open during the turf replacement project.

Q:  Can I use my Range Value Card at another Premier Golf Course facility?
A:  Yes! During the turf replacement period, we can transfer any or your entire Range Value Card amount to Jefferson Park Golf Course located on Beacon Hill.  Just ask for the manager on duty and they will make the arrangements for you.

Q:  Will the Golf Shop still have the ability to Fit Me for new Golf Clubs?
A: Yes! The Golf Shop will still have the ability to use Launch Monitor technology to fit Drivers, Irons, Wedges and Golf Balls.  In addition, we will have recently updated all of the fitting carts to the 2010 products, and we will have a new Launch Monitor to enhance the process.  Contact the Golf Shop or e-mail Jon Schrader at jschrader@premiergc.com to schedule your fitting today.

Q:  How does this closure affect lessons?
A:  Lessons will still be available during the range closure. Although the range is closed Pete and Ron will be offering at Interbay short game lessons, course work lessons and video lessons hitting into a net. They will also be utilizing the Jefferson Park Driving Range on a limited basis.

Q:  I usually take lessons from a different professional?
A:  You are certainly welcome to wait until “your Pro” returns to work with the reopening of the range (estimated as April 1st), but remember lessons are not professional specific. Your lessons are available to use with any of the professionals.

Q:  How do I sign-up for a lesson during the range closure?
A:  Sign-up is as usual. It will all be done through Interbay. You can sign-up in person or over the phone. Notations will be made in the book as to availability and facility. We suggest that any lesson business messages be left in the general box (8) so they may be responded to in a timely fashion. The general box will be monitored and responded to by the golf professionals available on behalf of the entire staff.

Q: I purchased the Fall-Winter Package that is to expire April 1st. How does it affect me?
A: First, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. The expiration date will extended to June 1st. You are welcome to use your lessons with any of the professional available during the closure or you can wait until we reopen giving you two months to complete the series. We hope this extension is acceptable. If you have any concerns, please contact Ron Hanson.
