Paul comes to Interbay with a wide variety of experiences working with golfers of different backgrounds and cultures during his 12-years in the golf business.  As Director of Instruction of Heartland Golf Schools in Thailand, he was featured in numerous newspapers, magazines, and media outlets.  He was an Assistant Golf Professional at Piney Branch Golf Club in Hampstead, Maryland and the Links at Stono Ferry in Charleston, South Carolina. Paul has been trained and certified as a custom club fitter with Cobra and Titleist.

 Paul utilizes a simplified teaching approach that focuses on clear communication between the student and teacher and also offers flexibility to address each individual golfer’s needs. His students have ranged in experience from the Asian PGA Tour player to the beginning golfer.  Many of Paul’s students have been from an Asian background, which has helped shape the development of his teaching philosophy.  While in Thailand, he had the opportunity to introduce an effective and modern teaching program that focused on each individual’s characteristics, instead of one set teaching method. These programs continue to thrive in Thailand and have branched out to other countries.

 Some of his professional highlights in the golf business have included the development of an inner-city golf program that was funded by the USGA in Charleston, SC and worked with the Special Olympics.  Paul’s goal with each student is to maximize the golfer’s game based on the individual’s characteristics.  His goal with each lesson is to improve the golfer’s game while providing a relaxing and enjoyable teaching experience.
